Summer Lust: The Home Edit

Rattan Love

The Home Edit

Summer is synonymous with long languid evenings, the feel of cool sea water as you plunge into the foamy green waves and the heady smell of gardenia and frangipani blossoms.

It’s our fun time, when we let our hair down and celebrate the end of the year and the start of the new. So here are a few tips to refresh your home and get ready to entertain family and friends this season.

Rattan Selection

Creating laid back open spaces that are polished but relaxed, comfortable and welcoming is what Australian summer living is all about. One of my favourite additions to any room, even the most sophisticated is a touch of rattan.

For a laid back luxe look, you can never go past throwing some cool rattan into the mix. Another collectible of mine – group various vintage mirror shapes together on one wall for maximum impact.

There are endless ways to add this organic texture to a room, depending on your space and location.
