In 2015, ex-corporate world best friends, Amrit Balani and Samuel Macias were driven by a single-minded appreciation of creativity’s capacity to heal, inspire, and connect, to launch women’s fashion label Maison Hotel.

A celebration of a Balearic hippie-chic aesthetic and following in the footsteps of the eclectic ‘Flower Power’ movement of the 60s and 70s, the Maison Hotel brand is inspired by Ibiza’s hippy trail linking India with the East.

After a coincidental trip to India, Balani and Macias garnered an appreciation and admiration for Indian craftsman’s artisanal approach to design and technique. There was an inherent beauty to imperfections that felt just right for the duo’s new fashion label; slight imperfections become a representation of the manual nature of the workmanship involved, making each piece even more beautiful.

Every collection for the brand begins as a vintage treasure hunt to source unique fabrics and finishings that highlight a modern bohemian look and feel. Authentic tie-dyes, impervious screen prints and delicate embroideries accent each collection; from women's midi and maxi dresses to hand-embroidered vests and quilted jackets, each piece has a carefree avant garde spirit.
