Sita Murt was founded in 1989 by Carmen “Sita” Murt, a third-generation member of a textile dynasty in Igualada, Spain, who grew up collecting leather scraps from the floor of her parents' tannery and went on to take over the family company. For the label, knitwear is not a category but a craft: every piece is made from yarns created exclusively by and for Sita Murt, and the collections carry the texture and manual character of true knitwear artistry.
