Spanish fashion designer Carmen "Sita" Murt belongs to a third-generation textile industry dynasty in Igualada, Spain–a booming hub of European textile innovation and development. Murt grew up with fashion in her DNA; her parents were owners of a tannery where she would collect scraps of leather from the factory floor to create patchwork designs. By 1989, Murt had taken over her parents’ company and launched Sita Murt–a women’s knitwear label that focused on high quality, timeless, and innovative knit designs.
