A surreal bloomscape brought to silk, the “Wonderland” print is Silk Laundry’s tribute to nature’s theatrical side. Inspired by the optical illusions of orchids and flora that mimic creatures–from the Monkey Face and Flying Duck to the White Egret–the print captures a world where petals become plumage, and blossoms masquerade as birds in flight.

After Katie Kolodinski found difficulty locating a classic slip dress that was made from natural fibres, she created Silk Laundry. Most slips the designer could find were made from polyester or nylon, both of which do not have a positive effect on our planet. In 2015, it was from this desire for a well-crafted, consciously drawn staple, that led Silk Laundry to launch its capsule collection of five styles: a '90s style slip dress, a cami, a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and a button-up classic shirt.
