Chikankari, the centuries-old Lucknow tradition of fine white embroidery on tonal cotton, gives this embroidered cotton kaftan its quiet authority: dense paisley boteh and floral framing across the yoke and pocket panel, scattered small daisies across the body, and disciplined border bands at the cuffs and hem. A V-neck with a tasselled drawstring softens the opening, while long relaxed sleeves and a maxi length finish with side slits for ease. Made in slubby washed cotton in a soft nomad blue. Throw it over a swimsuit walking back from the beach or wear it solo with flat tan sandals and silver cuffs for a long, slow lunch.
