Kumo Dress

Kumo, the Japanese shibori binding technique that creates cloud-like patterns through hand-tied resist dyeing, gives this indigo maxi dress its name and its mood: white starburst medallions, small dots and disciplined banding scattered across a deep ocean-ink ground. A pintucked bodice frames the V-neck and small button placket, while long balloon sleeves gather into neat cuffs. The skirt falls into voluminous gathered tiers, finished with embroidered cream trim at the seams and hem. Made in slubby washed cotton that wears beautifully through warm days. Pair it with flat tan sandals and a stack of silver cuffs for the easiest holiday dressing.
