Tone-on-tone is the move here: deeper magenta floral embroidery worked into a raspberry embroidered cotton shirt for an effect that's quieter and more grown-up than a contrast palette would deliver.
The embroidery runs in formal bands down the placket and yoke, scattering as smaller paisley motifs across the body, while the dobby weave gives the base a fine self-stripe texture that catches the light. A pointed collar and buttoned cuffs add a final layer of detail.
Works as easily over high-waisted black trousers with a woven leather belt as it does undone over a slip skirt with gold hoops.
