‘Hannah Artwear’ is inspired by designer Hannah Grossberg describing her pieces as ‘wearable art’

Everything about Hannah Artwear’s clothing is thoughtfully designed, from the hand-dyed and block printed patterns to the hand-made tassels that finish the drawstring at the waist of these Uma Pants. These pants are made from featherweight silk habotai and are printed with painterly florals. A contrast vine print border down each side seam adds a sporty edge to the elegant wide leg silhouette. They fall from a fully elasticated waistband to a floor-sweeping hem. Pair them with sneakers and a white tee.

Grossberg paints swirling paisleys and florals that artisans then apply by hand onto diaphanous silk habotai and cotton voile

Wood blocks are individually hand carved to match Grossberg’s design and are dipped into rich colour pigments, then they are applied by hand to fabric to create a one-of-a-kind impression. From inception to production, the entire process of creating a Hannah Artwear garment is intrinsically driven by a love and appreciation of the synergy between art and craft.
